it’s here! enjoy the site.
I have been out guiding on 7 of the last 9 days and of course fished the other 2 because it is so HOT right now!! Fished for salmon 4 days on Blue Mesa and it was Good to Excellent through out the day! boated any where from 12 to 25 with a guided 17 fish evening bite one night.. Getting a mixed bag size wise but the majority are 18in+ with a few 20in’ers..
Morrrow Point is fishng as good as I have seen it fish in my 8 years of guiding salmon trips down there. We have been busy and we have been Slaying kokanee and Trout limits for all our clients.. I have boated well over 100 nice salmon in my last five days down there and they four year olds are BIG.. The streaks are fast and insane with triples happening often. You gotta come get some..
all i have left for open dates in July are the: 27th, 29th & 30th and woud love to take you.. August is starting to book up quick so give me call and come experience the best Kokanee Salmon in USA!!!
Hello, again sorry for the lack of updates on the site as I have been FISHING daily.. I have been spending most of the month in Morrow Point and it has been fishing VERY WELL. most days getting big salmon with catch numbers near or over 20 each day. Yesterday i had the pleasure of teaching a few 14 year olds how to fish KOK’s and they got just the day for it. We hooked over 40 and ended up boating close to 30 good job boys.. Also trout fishing is ON down there still. trolling, casting and jigging big browns!
Today I guided a salmon trip on Blue mesa and hooked over 20 in five hours, Landed 16 Koks keeping 10 big ones and 2 small ones! On July 1st had a client catch a few Lake Trout one 16 and one 21bs and saw some being caught today.. On that note I will still take Trophy trips with confidience on success!!!! I still have some days open in July for either BM or MP so give a call and LET’s GO Fishing..
ps no camera still but thats my report!
Sorry I have been off the site for a few weeks.. Not because there has been nothing to report but because all I have been doing is fishing and more fishing! In what I thought was my transition to Kokanee and Trout trip for the rest of the summer (more info in a few lines) I took 2 days for myself and went to the Gunnison Gorge to fish the famous Stone Fly hatch just before i got to busy on the lakes! anyways I scored big time on that trip. Stone fly’s were everywhere and the fish looking up. Caught nice 16-24in browns and rainbows for 2 days on the the dry fly.. Back to my transition from trophy lake trout guiding of spring to a summer of fun, koks, trout and 30 fish days in the summer sun .I love it! I guided a week of very successful Blue Mesas and Morrow Point trips catching double digit Koks and trout numbers in the 20’s on both lakes just about every trip last week.. Then I got more calls about Big Lakers..” Can we still get on a big one?”… Long story short I had a guy catch 5 macs on Monday between 9-25 lbs. Put 3 more hogs in the boat on Wed morning and then finished the day with 13 salmon in just two hours, now that what I call a “Multi species trip”. Today I guided on Morrow Point and boated around 40 fish with 21 salmon from 8:00 am to 2:oopm.. Sorry to cram all that in one “Fish Story” but busy busy busy… Call to check for open dates..
OH and PS my camera is not working so you’ll just have to believe me…. HAHA.
A nice father son outing, for the second year in a row they score good fish.
